The Children’s Snowboard Games Reference has been designed as a tool for snowboard instructors, to help them teach children to ride. It has been created to be of assistance in filling your bag-of-tricks. The games referenced here have come from a variety of sources, some of which have absolutely nothing to do with snowboarding! They have all been adapted and tried on real children, and I assure you that no kids were harmed in the making of this book. The book is approximately 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” spiral bound, and 120 pages. It contains over 100 games. |
The book is generally set up by ability level – beginner to advanced. Each of the games includes icons to represent the best use of the game. The icons represent Movement Pools (Critical Features of Riding), Board For example, in the “Zig-Zags” game shown here; the primary movement pool is to release and engage the edge with the legs, the board performance is pressure control movements, this game is for younger children and is done on gentle terrain. |

There are four separate indexes at the back of the text to assist in looking up games by each of the categories: Movement Pool, Board Performance, Age Group and Terrain Type. For example, you might want to reference only games that work on edge angle movements, etc. Color is used throughout the book, including each of the indexes, to identify different ability levels. |
